We made our way up to Brigham City this last weekend to spend some quality time with Joe's family. The boys had heaps of fun playing with their cousins, I found time to finish a great book (A Thousand Splendid Suns-- HIGHLY recommended), and Joe managed to get a crazy story out of his brother Benji (the original Hadfield shenanigan-er). We also enjoyed a lovely memorial day barbecue in spite of the uncooperative weather, and I introduced Joe's family to the wonder-that-is-Indian-food.

Whenever Lincoln and Daniel managed to get outside, they ended up next to one of Grandpa's ponds, "fishing" with willow whips. Fortunately for Grandpa's koi, the boys didn't manage to rustle up any tasty bait. Once they get that figured out(along with some hooks), those fish had better watch out!
Speaking of shenanigans, Lincoln's been very keen on dressing himself lately. He usually does a great job, but one day last week he thought it would be funny to put his clothes on backwards-- and insisted on wearing them that way for the whole day. I let it slide, but in return for being forced to go out in public with a "backwards boy", I'm going to use this picture to mortify him when he's 16.

Daniel cannot come close to passing for a baby anymore. He is HUGE! And I love Lincoln's backwards pants!
ahhh...finishing a great book, I remember those days! :)
It was so good to see you! Your pictures are adorable.
ahhhh.... so cute!
u don't have babies anymore,... the personal question of course is whether there will be anymore and when? ,.. haha. you can take that as a rhetorical question if you prefer no requiring an answer. :)
Oh, Theresa. . .
what!? (and I should say that I am sure that lincoln and Daniel will always be your babies Steph,..so I didn't mean it like that,.. just meant wow they are sure growing up and fast. :) ) Everytime I see their fishing pics I have to show them to my sister,.. they crack me up. They remind me of my bros Seth and Skittles when they were young. soo cute. :)
Yes Theresa, there will be more babies, God willing. As far as when, you'll just have to wait and see... (wink)
I was pretty sure that was your plan anyway which is why I didn't require an answer,.. haha. I just sometime look at the cute boys and think,.. they need a sister to protect. :) But I'm sure you and Joe are occasionally thinking the same thing and will be going by the timing that's best for your family..so I wasn't trying to imply that I thought it was about time or anything,.. haha..... plus,..aren't you guys still taking care of Lance? (You're brother??,...can't remember his name),.. at any rate. :) Your family is so handsome I just sometimes daydream for you about how it will be in 10 years,.. haha. :) Hopefully my impertenence is forgiven. :)
I missed the indian food? Shucks! I was excited to sample non-vegetarian indian food in hopes it would change my opinion.
Benji,
You and Melissa should make your own Indian food. It's not that hard-- If you look through my archives, you'll find the recipes somewhere in the early days of my blog.
You all take such great photos, it must be your great faces! Is that Joe's parents yard?? It looks beautiful.
