... no baby yet. We did have a pretty convincing bout of false labor last night, but apparently that was just practice.
I'm trying to be a good sport about it, but if one more person asks me when I'm due (last week) or when I'm going to be induced (I'm not), I swear that heads are going to roll.
Consider yourself warned. (wink)

I hope that the 'false' labor didn't wear you out too much. Have your Mom make some chocolate cake and caramel icing today for you -- to lift your spirits and give you more energy for whenever she comes.
lol! get some sleep and enjoy some spicey foods. and here's a last tip,.. make sure everything is NOT ready for the baby to come and that you sill have a million things to do so that she will come at just the moment when you're most NOT ready for her. lol. :) sorry you're still pregnant and hang in there she's totally worth it and she'll be here in notime!! I can't wait to meet her!
I promise not to ask! ;)
Good luck. I hope the waiting goes by quickly!
No questions here!! Well, except this one: you're a labor and delivery expert, right? So, have you heard of Red Raspberry Leaf taken during pregnancy? If so, any good experiences? Just curious.
Christina~ the false labor didn't wear me out much at all. It was only a couple of hours and had ended by the time we normally go to bed. And mom got busy making a chocolate cake when we thought I was in labor last night so we've been eating it all day.
Theresa~ unfortunately your advice comes too late. Everything's been ready for about a month now. There's nothing left to do...
Britney~ thanks. me too.
Andrea~ I'd hardly call myself a birth expert. I'm really just a birth junkie. I've been drinking red raspberry leaf tea for a while now and it doesn't seem to be doing anything for me, although I know others who swear by it.
Well, as long as she's good and ready when she DOES come, right? Sorry, woman. But at least this is your last time EVER to wait. ;) Love ya!
Hope it's soon :)
You probably already know this but remember that being late is a good thing; they are better at nursing, breathing and more prepared to meet the world. Just a comforting thought that I have seen from experience.
I love you and have been hoping for you (yes, checking your blog daily for news) for a week now.
Has anyone else claimed betrothal rights? My guy just turned 1. . .
I am praying for you and the babe that all will go well. The same thing happened with me and Robyn, and I just had to try not to laugh at everyone's "great" advice, so I will offer none. Even though I know the due date was accurate, the doctor said, "Wow, this baby doesn't look a day overdue," so I guess she just needed a little extra time.
I meant my aadvice t0 be silly n0t seri0us. :) I sh0uld kn0w better than t0 t0y with patiently waiting em0ti0ns. I d0 h0pe she c0mes s00n f0r you. I kn0w what it's like. G00d luck.
You look so beautiful today Steph! How is the weather in China? (How am I doing?)
Stephanie, you are a birthing rock star. hang in there :)
Thanks for the sweet words everybody!
I'm laughing at BaxterFamily comment. Funny stuff. Wish I thought of it first. Good luck. Don't worry, she must have her own lucky number picked out, at least you know it isn't 1 thru 17 now?
I'm excited to hear how many chocolate cakes grandma ends up baking. No, not really. I actually feel for you more than you know. Katey's the one you're really killin' here ;)
