There's a really fun project Carly did at her preschool that I'd like to do this summer. I'll post it on my blog when I get a chance.
You could do the bread bird feeder. Remember when we use to make them when we were little? I always enjoyed them, and the boys might too!
put a beetle trap in the garden. I guess that's not art. Just bugs.
Our Relief Society did an Enrichment with the Primary with Summer art project ideas. The funnest was slightyly watered down tempura paint, the kids painted on rolls of paper on the ground with potato mashers, slotted spatulas, or other kitchen utinsels. Also a nylon filled with sand or rocks, dipped in the paint then splatted on the paper. They did ice drawing on the cement- freeze water in a paper cup with a popsicle stick in it, peel off the paper and you have an "ice marker". They also made giant bubble blowers out of pipe cleaners and dipped them in pie pans full of bubbles (the gal found scented bubbles at the $ store). Fun times!
